We have been reading a lot about SIPs (Systematic Investment Plan), mutual funds, investment planning etc. but a crucial question which I have been facing time and again from our new generation customers is Why should I invest?
I would like to discuss some key points which I think are very crucial from an individual's point of view when he considers investing:

It gets a lot of discipline into one's day-to-day life and helps avoiding unnecessary expenditure, which we have been seeing in the western world and is gradually getting into our lifestyle.

It helps you plan for the unplanned events like critical illness, early retirement, loss of jobs etc.

It gives longevity to your wealth, means your wealth can be grown, conserved and passed on to the next generation.

It gives your family income the power of passive secondary income which remains intact in case of early death or disability.

Indian market offers a lot of opportunities for investment in equity and debt markets which are not prevalent in major parts of the world, hence one should make the best of it.

It also helps an individual to maintain his self-esteem as the dependency on next generation goes down if one has done early investments in life.

These are some of the key reasons why I think investing is important
