The fund reviews its performance after a period of one year. This helps it cash in on various cycles in the markets, and deliver consistent returns. Investors can consider putting money in the fund with a horizon of at least one year
The fund follows three broad strategies for delivering returns just above its benchmark — the S&P CNX Nifty. First, half of the fund's composition is aligned to its benchmark and the rest is periodically churned by the fund manager as and when the markets present opportunities. Second, at any particular period, the weightage of any sector in the fund deviates by a maximum of 600 basis points only from the weightage of the sector in the benchmark. Thirdly, the fund aims to be in the top 15 to 45 percentile of top performing funds. This means that the fund would not be aggressive in being the top performer and it would restrict its exposure to stocks, whichare fundamentally sound and strong players in their sectors. Due to these factors, the fund has been a consistent outperformer in comparison with its peerset and its benchmark.
