Investors of Gold ETF units in India can now convert their Gold ETF units into Jewelery. For converting Gold ETF units into Jewelery or Gold Coin, there is no need for the investor to sell the Gold ETF units via stock exchanges and wait for the money to accrue in their accounts. Now an investor of Gold ETF units can buy Gold ornaments and Gold Coin just by walking into any of the Jos Alukkas jewelery branches.

Till 15/07/2011, this scheme is extended to Gold Bees run by Benchmark Asset Management Company. Any One who possess Gold bees Gold ETF units can convert their holding into Gold jewelery or Gold Coins.

Thrissur based Jose Alukkas has tied up with Sharewealth Securities LTD and Benchmark Asset Management Company to enable investor's Gold ETF units conversion into Gold Coin or Gold Jewelery. Small investors are the main beneficiaries here because, small investors who hold Gold ETF units for as low as 5 to 50 gm can now convert their Gold ETF units into Gold Jewelery

Although the scheme is now open for only Goldbees Gold ETF unit holders, company promises to extend the facility to other Gold ETFs.
