Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund is our flagship diversified Equity fund. The investment objective of the scheme is to generate long term capital appreciation by capitalizing on investment opportunities across sectors, themes and market caps. The fund combines consistency of Large Caps with conviction ideas from within midcaps.

Our investment approach is centered around participating in quality businesses up to a reasonable price, and holding the same over an extended period. The fund has been consistently outperforming its benchmark since Inception and also has a Consistent Dividend Track Record.

The fund has recently completed 2 Important Milestones - AUM has crossed 1,000 crores and fund has completed 7 years (on 4th April, 2015) of wealth creation for investors.            

 

Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund has been a consistent performing fund since its inception, outperforming its benchmark across market cycles. The fund has delivered 18.31% CAGR returns compared to 9.31% returns delivered by S&P BSE 200 since inception, while the 1 year returns are 46.99% compared to 31.93% delivered by S&P BSE 200. (as on 31st March, 2015). The fund has also outperformed its peers in a consistent manner across time horizon and is a top rated fund with many awards and accolades.

We attribute stock selection as the primary factor which has helped sustain the outperformance on a consistent basis. The fund has about 75% of the portfolio in large caps (i.e. Top-100 companies), and the remaining in midcaps.

The fund is currently overweight on Financials, Pharma, Auto and Auto Ancillaries, and Building materials.
